The undergraduate emphasis in Real Estate is also available to students majoring in economics, entrepreneurship, or marketing. As the only real estate degree program offered at a Kansas Regents’ university, the emphasis equips students with specialized knowledge they can apply in a wide range of careers.

Finance with and Emphasis in Real Estate Major Requirements

  • FIN 440 – Financial Management II
  • FIN 450 – Applied Financial Analysis
  • RE 310 – Principles of Real Estate

Select one of the following:

  • RE 611 – Real Estate Finance, or
  • RE 618 – Real Estate Investment Analysis

Electives:

  • Select 9 credit hours of upper-division (300 or above) real estate courses
  • Select 3 credit hours of upper-division (300 or above) finance courses.

Specific Requirements for Finance/Real Estate Majors

  • No more than 3 credit hours of FIN 481 or RE 481 may be used to satisfy the elective component of this degree.
  • Majors in finance or finance emphasis in real estate must complete FIN 340 with a C+ or better to continue in the major.
  • All majors must contain at least 12 unduplicated credit hours. All minors must contain at least 3 unduplicated credit hours.
