HOUSTON REAL ESTATE COMMUNITY
As mentioned, the Bauer Real Estate Program has direct connections with various real estate professionals throughout Houston. Our proximity to the major employment centres throughout the city allows our students the ability to network and seek internships all-year-round. Networking events & luncheons take place every month, and our students can take advantage of these effortlessly.
The Bauer College Alumni Association (BCAA): endeavors to cultivate Cougar pride, emphasizing the enduring nature of the “Bauer Experience.” The association organizes diverse events, including happy hours, tailgates, and notable volunteer initiatives like the 9/11 Day of Service at the Houston Food Bank.

BCAA Annual Meeting: serves as the Bauer College Alumni Association’s signature end-of-year event, drawing alumni and supporters to Houston annually. In recent years, the meeting has witnessed increased alumni attendance, providing a platform for reconnecting and gaining insights from leaders about the latest achievements of students, faculty, and the BCAA.
Tailgating events: hosted each football season, invite Bauer College alumni and supporters to enjoy fun and networking before home games. Acknowledged as one of the best at UH, the tailgate owes its success to the generosity of sponsors. Those interested in sponsorship can find more information on the sponsorship page.
The Cougar Power Hour: a monthly alumni mixer, offers an opportunity for networking and reunions. Taking place on the second Wednesday of every month at different locations each school semester from 5:30 – 7:30 p.m., the event is open to alumni and friends, free to attend, and features door prizes and drink specials. Attendees are encouraged to showcase Cougar pride, wear something red, and bring a Cougar friend.
