We start with the basic fundamentals of real estate valuation and financial modeling and through a case-based, building blocks approach, bringing students all the way through a direct cap valuation to modeling complex acquisition and development deals using a DCF analysis.
We also cover partnership waterfalls as part of the core curriculum and have a continuously growing Advanced Concepts section that is optional. We do teach numerous formulas in-depth that go beyond just lookup and offset functions and teach the valuation principals giving students an in-depth understanding of all the usual valuation metrics that would be analyzed.
