ULI Singapore’s UrbanPlan programme is a realistic and engaging exercise that explores the fundamental forces that affect real estate development in our communities. Participants ask critical questions, experience diverse roles in the private and public sector, navigate complex trade-offs, and uncover the fundamental economics at play, as they race to propose land use solutions to vexing growth challenges.<\/p>\n

Singapore’s programme has typically focused on public officials. Participants from different government agencies form competing development teams to respond to a simulated government land sales site. Team members work together to create a feasible proposal that meets the city’s objectives, the community’s interests, and investors\u2019 bottom line.<\/p>\n

In this edition of UrbanPlan, ULI Singapore will launch its first programme for students of National Junior College. The project aims to develop land use professionals \u2013 developers, planners, architects, investors, and policy makers \u2013 who are more sophisticated and effective when they enter the workforce.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
