How does a company undertake a campus redevelopment involving 17 new buildings and 3 million square feet\u2014all while keeping the company open for business? This panel will reveal all that and more, as Microsoft takes participants behind the scenes of its campus transformation and shares lessons learned along the way.<\/p>\n
We\u2019ll discuss our decision redevelop the Puget Sound campus in Redmond, and how we translated Microsoft\u2019s cultural transformation into the built space. We will share how we prepared for and set up the campus renewal\u2014with four different teams of architects, each to create its own \u201cvillage\u201d\u2014and the design and construction logistics and streamlining of aesthetics that were needed for the megaproject.<\/p>\n
Finally, we\u2019ll describe the culture of collaboration that had to be established to get so many different players\u2014many of them competitors\u2014working together. We\u2019ll share decisions we made early on that turned out to be invaluable\u2014and others we\u2019d do differently next time.<\/p>\n
