The Richardson Olmsted Campus is a 42-acre site in the heart of Buffalo’s cultural corridor. The National Historic Landmark is being creatively reimagined, repurposed, and returned to residents of Western New York.
Widely considered one of Buffalo’s most important buildings, construction on the Richardson began in 1872 and opened eight years later. In subsequent years, the Richardson Campus continued to expand and was placed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1973 as well as listed as a National Historic Landmark in 1986.
