The Movement to All-Electric Real Estate

At the COP26 climate summit in November last year, financial institutions in more than 20 countries have pledged to halt all financing for fossil fuel development overseas and divert the spending to green energy starting this year.

The movement toward electrification and away from fossil fuel combustion for buildings is well underway. An increasing number of cities have passed laws centered on banning the usage of fossil fuels in buildings, promoting electric energy instead of natural gas, and/or decreasing carbon emissions for environmental reasons.
