ULI Asia Pacific is hosting a “virtual” roundtable that will feature a candid 1.5-hour discussion among 30 senior real estate leaders to discuss how different companies are responding to the crisis, debate the challenges the industry now faces, and analyse the opportunities that arise.

The event will be split into three 30-minute segments:

1. Current Challenges in Real Estate – We will look at themes such as falling rents, rising cap rates, demand fluctuations among asset classes, debt maturities and refinancing, and the freefall of the retail and hospitality sectors, among others.

2. The Future – What are the emerging opportunities? Will prices finally retrench? Will asset repositioning become the new normal? And who will emerge as winners and losers?”?

3. The Industry Response – Finally, we examine how workforces have adjusted to a no-travel, work-from-home routine, how it impacts productivity, and the implications for the long-term future of work.
