ULI San Francisco: The Climate Challenge: Reality, Risks, and Real Estate

Climate change and its impacts are making headlines globally and affecting us right here at home. From wildfires, power outages, and threats for sea level rise, to nationwide climate strikes and statewide net zero regulations, we know that the climate is changing and we need to address it.

The first portion of the program will paint the picture of our current climate challenge and the scale of what we need to with a vibrant panel discussion. We will interpret the science and the headlines and answer your questions about climate change – the urgency, the risks, and solutions.

The second panel will be a deep dive into how the real estate industry is taking on the climate challenge. We will hear from an investor, a portfolio owner, and an insurance company on strategies for climate mitigation and reducing carbon footprints and financial risk.
