When asked what the greatest challenge developers face when approaching a new project, the answer is almost always either high construction costs or a shortage of skilled tradesmen. According to a nationwide survey from the Associated General Contractors of America, eight out of every ten firms are having trouble finding enough skilled labor.

As demand for skilled labor in South Florida continues to outpace supply, this poses a number of challenges for developers. Sourcing labor from outside the community is costly and ultimately sends dollars elsewhere.
