Though many stores and restaurants have pivoted their operations in an attempt to stay afloat, and the U.S. Small Business Administration has offered a variety of loans in assistance, the future remains uncertain for innumerable businesses.

In response to the economic challenges faced by San José’s urban core, the city’s Downtown Association initiated a process to chart a course for the district over the next six to 18 months and create a plan that will expedite the stabilization, recovery and resilience of the downtown.
