USGBC Orange County: Inaugural Women in Green (WiG) Breakfast

USGBC Orange County will host our Inaugural Women in Green Power Breakfast on Thursday, September 26th. This will celebrate women in our local green building community but also encourage discussion regarding the pathway to leadership. We want to help courage be more contagious.

The 2019 USGBC Women in Green platform theme, Culture of Courage, celebrates the crucially needed and deliberate voice that women bring to society and to the green building movement.

Together, women need to continue to act as connectors and support each other because as Brene’ Brown notes, “Courage is Contagious. To scale daring leadership and build courage in teams and organizations, we have to cultivate a culture in which brave work, tough conversations and whole hearts are the expectation, and armor is not necessary or rewarded.” Join us in our Inaugural Women in Green to celebrate the Culture of Courage that will define the future for women leaders all over the world.

Our inspiring panel of women leaders address a wide range of topics on the aspirations, connectivity, and concerns of women as they examine their careers in sustainability. We plan to pack the Leadership Center this year and hope to build on that amazing energy—please join us and sign up early!
