2020 Spring Meeting Webinar Series: Increasing the Visibility of Women in Real Estate Development: A Conversation with Taya Cook, Sherry Larjani and Kelly Nagel

Join ULI’s Women’s Leadership Initiative for a virtual conversation with Taya Cook and Sherry Larjani. In 2019, Ms. Cook and Ms. Larjani spearheaded the first all-female designed and developed condominium project in Canada, the Reina. This groundbreaking project has attracted international attention, and recently was featured in the New York Times. We will delve into Ms. Cook and Ms. Larjani’s fascinating backgrounds, learn how they brought together women in real estate to collaborate on this exciting project, and their plans for the future.

The moderator will be Kelly Nagel, chair of the WLI Americas Executive Committee. Kelly Nagel serves as a regional vice president and development executive for Aimco Apartment Homes (a Denver-based rental apartment REIT) in Bethesda MD, where she manages investments for the east coast, primarily in the Philadelphia, Washington DC, and Miami markets. Ms. Nagel, a ULI global governing trustee, is a member of the Urban Development and Mixed Use (UDMUC) Bronze Product Council, and sits on the National Multi Housing Council (NMHC) Emerging Leaders and Diversity and Inclusion committees, in addition to her service as chair of the WLI Americas Executive Committee.

The mission of the ULI Women’s Leadership Initiative is to raise the visibility and number of women leaders in ULI and the real estate industry. This takes place on the global and regional level, as well as in almost every District Council.
