UrbanPlan has engaged volunteers for over 20 years, and for most of that time, a full-day training was the standard for anyone joining the program. Since COVID, trainings have been shorter, and we’ve noticed that volunteers coming through that format often feel less prepared and, as a result, participate less over time.

This year, we’re returning to the full-day training format, and we’re excited about what that means for volunteer readiness and confidence heading into local high schools.
