Silicon Valley was listed among tech hotspots in the CBRE Tech-30 Report, posting the third-highest rent growth and highest net absorption rate. Additionally, technical occupations across all industries in the San Francisco Bay Area grew 33.4 percent over the past five years. With the cost of rent and construction continuing to increase and vacancies at an all-time low, (despite 27 million square feet of office absorption,) the state of the Silicon Valley’s affordable housing continues to be in “crisis mode”.
