Join us for a discussion on the evolving development landscape in Dallas neighborhoods. We’ll explore a new approach emphasizing numerous small-scale projects, fostering gradual community change instead of abrupt disruptions. A study commissioned by Southern Dallas Progress CDC, a prominent community organization serving below I-30, funded by a grant from the Dallas Foundation, forms the starting point for the new approach. This study highlights the benefits of smaller-scale development for existing neighborhoods, along with improved fiscal returns for governments due to broader impacts and reduced subsidies. Kevin Shepherd from Verdunity will present the report’s findings, followed by a panel discussion on the who, what, where, and how of smaller-scale development projects spanning the Dallas area.
