It’s no secret that the DFW Industrial market is one fire! According to a recent Cushman & Wakefield report, DFW Construction activity reached a new high in the market at 34.9msf. Record absorption continues nearing 5.8msf, and vacancy remains steady. Consequently, foreign investors are taking note and investing big in DFW. In fact foreign investors spent $849M on industrial investments in DFW alone last year.

However, as demand increases at a rapid pace, developers are struggling to find enough space and are having to get creative where they are building. With much more availability away from the urban core, developers are getting more bang for their buck when they decide to build outside of the city’s traditional markets. Alliance TX, the DFW airport submarket, and Southwest Dallas have seen a boom in activity this last year.
