A people-first Market Street is coming to San Francisco. With the recently approved plan to ban cars from much of the downtown artery, the city joins heavyweights like New York, Paris, and Barcelona in opening up more street space for pedestrians, bikes, and public transit and reimagining its streets as safer, greener, and more efficient. Join CityLab and SPUR in conversation with Oakland transportation leaders to discuss what the future of streets could look like in Oakland and the greater Bay Area. How are people moving now, and how might that change if the streets are free of cars? What challenges lie ahead, and what opportunities? Jon us for a reception at 6 p.m. before the conversation begins at 6:30 p.m. Co-presented by CityLab.
