Join ULI Chicago Young Leaders for our first installment of the YL Small Group Discussion Series for an in-depth overview and discussion about Studio Gang’s design strategies.
As a practice founded to harness the power of design to address the most pressing contemporary challenges, Studio Gang is rooted in an ethos of “actionable idealism”—a term that describes the firm’s goal to articulate big ideas while simultaneously looking for practical ways, in every project, to realize measurable positive change. Thorsten Johann, a Design Principal at Studio Gang, will present an overview of the Studio’s work as well as a deeper dive on three projects—The St. Regis Chicago, Tom Lee Park in Memphis, and Assemble Chicago—demonstrating this ethos across various scales and typologies.
