The individual in this role manages aspects of the day-to-day workflow of the Finance and Accounting team and supports the Director of Finance and Accounting.
The Vice President, Finance and Accounting is responsible for the following:
- PSG’s consolidated financial statements, along with the annual audit process and preparation of analyses/memoranda related to the GAAP and IFRS treatment of various items in the financial statements
- Reviewing account reconciliations and preparation of financial statements
- Analyzing financial results for the current reporting period versus prior reporting periods.
- Quarterly and annual management reporting and financial reporting required by the Brookfield Asset Management corporate team in Toronto
- Management reporting required by senior management
- Managing the day-to-day work of staff members
- In addition, working closely with the Director of Finance to assist with executive-level reporting/communications
Candidate Education and Experience:
- Professional accounting designation (e.g. CPA or equivalent), with at least 6-9 years of ‘Public Accounting’ (or similar) experience preferred.
- Strong financial background, ideally with a experience in financial services.
- Demonstrated ability of leveraging information technology to achieve business objectives
- A history of project or team management preferred

- Strong Microsoft Excel Skills a must

- Strong leadership and managerial skills
- Ability to function with minimal or no supervision
- Willingness to take on complex projects
