Position Overview:

Ancient City Capital is seeking a skilled and motivated Financial Analyst and Asset Manager to join our dynamic team. This role is integral to supporting our multifamily and retail investment portfolios, with a strong focus on financial modeling, budgeting, and performance analysis. The ideal candidate will bring over 4 years of experience in Excel-based financial modeling, a solid understanding of multifamily real estate (affordable housing preferred), strong ability to analyze current data and find opportunities for improvement, and excellent communication skills.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and maintain complex Excel financial models for multifamily and retail assets, including pro forma projections, cash flow analyses, and valuation models.
• Assist in the preparation of annual property budgets and forecasts, ensuring alignment with business objectives and market trends.
• Analyze and compare asset performance against budgeted targets, identifying areas for improvement and opportunities for value creation.
• Support the Asset Management team in monitoring operational and financial performance across the portfolio.
• Conduct market research and data analysis to support investment decisions and asset repositioning strategies.
• Prepare detailed financial and operational reports for internal and external stakeholders.
• Collaborate with property managers and other team members to ensure accurate and timely reporting of financial and operational metrics.
• Participate in site visits to gain insights into asset conditions and operational challenges.

Qualifications:

Education: Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Real Estate, Economics, Business Administration, or a related field.

Experience: Minimum of 4 years of experience in financial modeling, preferably in multifamily real estate and retail asset classes. Experience with affordable housing is a strong plus.

Technical Skills:

• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including data analysis, macros, and financial modeling.
• Familiarity with real estate management software (e.g., ResMan) is a plus.
• Analytical Skills: Exceptional attention to detail with the ability to synthesize complex data into actionable insights.
• Communication Skills: Strong written and verbal communication skills to effectively present findings and collaborate with diverse stakeholders.
• Location Flexibility: Willingness to work in person in Saint Augustine, FL. Relocation assistance is available for the right candidate.

Pay: $59,980.00 – $99,850.00 per year
