As a CBRE Procurement Consultant, you will be responsible for sourcing, negotiating, contracting, and managing service providers for outsourced services. You will collaborate with clients, internal customers, and department leadership to develop and implement sourcing and procurement strategies. Throughout the project lifecycle, you will maintain high-level engagement with all stakeholders.
What You’ll Do
- Support the Project Management Team with development and execution of work related to design and construction projects.
- Collaborate with business stakeholders, operational shared services team members, and sponsors to develop, coordinate, and implement strategies at the account level.
- Plan and install national contracting and procurement strategies. Prepare and maintain contracts with national service providers by company standards. Build relationships with suppliers and contractors.
- Create and manage RFPs, selecting solutions, and negotiating. Prepare and maintain contracts with national and regional service providers. Ensure contracts adhere to company and Client standards.
- Draft, review, negotiate, and maintain contracts and other business documents in support of the purchase of goods and services.
- Review the process of contract terminations, expirations, extensions, and renewals. Inform peers and management staff of changes or results.
- Manage supplier and contractor certification process. This includes legal and organizational structure, financial viability, geographic coverage, and insurance requirements.
- Perform vendor management activities to measure performance to ensure optimal value is achieved.
- Support national sourcing processes and practices with internal customers. Coordinate the flow of materials and information among suppliers, manufacturers, distributors, and customers.
- Establish requirements and ensure the integrity of centralized procurement database systems.
- Serve as a point of contact for management and liaise with outside procurement solutions.
- Provide clients with innovative technologies, products, and services to generate value and stay ahead of the competition.
What You’ll Need
- Bachelor’s Degree preferred with 5-8 years of relevant experience. In lieu of a degree, a combination of experience and education will be considered. C.P.M., C.P.S.M. or N.A.C.M. certifications or eligibility, preferred.
- Proven experience working with general contractors and drafting contracts, ensuring compliance with project specifications and legal requirements.
- Ability to exercise judgment based on the analysis of multiple sources of information.
- Willingness to take a new perspective on existing solutions.
- In-depth knowledge of Microsoft Office products. Examples include Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.
- Organizational skills with an advanced inquisitive mentality.
- Sophisticated math skills. Ability to calculate mildly complex figures such as percentages, fractions, and other financial-related calculations.
