We are looking for an astute, determined professional like you to fill a Senior Investment Analyst position within the Eastern Region of our Agriculture Investments team. Leveraging a 100 year history in agricultural equity/real estate management services and lending, Prudential’s agriculture business provides equity management services and lending in the agribusiness sector throughout the United States. PGIM’s Agriculture business is seeking to expand the Agricultural Investments team by hiring an Senior Investment Analyst. S/he will report directly to the Senior Asset Manager and will work closely with the Farm Managers in the Eastern Region and other staff throughout the company. This role will support multiple aspects of the business including asset management, acquisitions, research and technology. This role will be based in our Orlando office.
What you can expect
- Assist in the operational and reporting activities of the region.
- Manage the appraisal review process in the southeast and provide commentary to the Senior Asset Manager and other key employees.
- Assist in the preparation of third-party reports for institutional clients.
- Analyze farmland investment opportunities through the development of in-depth analysis and cash flow models for a wide variety of agricultural commodities in different geographic regions.
- Evaluate and manage information for potential agricultural investments.
- Assist in the preparation of investment recommendations for our internal Agricultural Equity Investment Committee and third-party investors.
- Work with the Acquisitions Team and Farm Management team in the evaluation of potential agricultural investments.
- Conduct in-depth research of agricultural commodities targeted for acquisitions.
- Prepare various agricultural industry research reports including assisting with quarterly commodity marketing updates and assist in the preparation of the annual commodity newsletter.
- Conduct detailed research on new geographic areas for potential agricultural investment.
- Support team with all portfolio and individual asset decision for value creation strategies and prepare necessary analytical reports as requested.
- Assist with implementing PAI’s sustainability initiatives.
- Participate in ad-hoc projects which could include the evaluation of new technology tools for the business.
What you will bring
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in the investment management industry; experience in agriculture preferred.
- B.S. in business, agricultural finance, economics, or equivalent curriculum required.
- Strong financial modeling and quantitative skills with an entrepreneurial mindset.
- Unquestioned integrity.
- Strong work ethic with a commitment to customer service.
- Excellent oral and written communications skills, excellent presentation skills, and highly effective analytical skills.
- Strong organizational skills with exceptional attention to detail, and ability to prioritize and balance multiple tasks.
- Individual must have good interpersonal skills with an interest in networking and business development, a major responsibility for eventually becoming an Investment Professional.
- Positive attitude, strong desire to learn, and the ability to work both independently as well as in a team environment.
- Personal Computer Skills (Advanced Excel, Powerpoint, and Word).
- Some travel may be required.
