The Early Career Investments Program (ECIP) aims to attract and develop small cohorts of aspiring professionals to join Invesco’s Investments organization. Through a coordinated program, the ECIP recruits and trains high-caliber talent to help build the next generation of investors at the firm.
This position is a pipeline into our full-time Early Career Investor Program, which does not qualify for employer-sponsored immigration. You are not qualified for this internship position if you need immigration sponsorship after completing your degree.
Invesco’s Early Career Investor Program provides a rare opportunity to observe the inner workings of a real-world investment team from the inside. The program begins with an in office/in person 10-week internship in June 2025 between a student’s junior and senior year in college. During your internship, you will be paired with an investment team, supporting them in their day-to-day functions. Team pairings could include Fixed Income, Private Credit, Active Equities, or Multi Asset Strategies.
Near the end of your 10-week internship, you’ll be given the opportunity to stay involved with the program; if you’re successful, you’ll receive a full-time job offer from Invesco Investments that would start after you graduate.
After graduation, you’ll begin your career in investments with an integrative onboarding and a 12-month rotation through fixed income, equities, and alternatives investment teams. After completing your rotations, you will transition into a permanent position with one of our investment teams.
Rotation Detail
Early Career Investors will gain a foundation for understanding the investment landscape and the tools to construct and explain their own investment judgments through exposure to market commentary, investment pitches from experienced managers, and participation in internal strategic discussions. Participants will have the benefit of guidance from portfolio managers and analysts as well as the benefit of going through the rotation with the support of peers in their cohort.
Supporting either a public or private investments team will give Early Career Investor Participants a hands-on experience in the full scope of the investment process and the team’s approach to portfolio decision-making. In a typical assignment, you might help with the trading of securities, contribute to investment research and analysis, monitor portfolio positioning, and perhaps create some applications for the benefit of the portfolio management process.
