Goldman Sachs Asset Management Real Estate is seeking an asset management Analyst with extensive financial analysis skills and technical skills to support our Real Estate Senior Credit function. The successful candidate will be responsible for thoughtful, quantitative analysis surrounding the performance of real estate credit investments and loan portfolio management.
HOW YOU WILL FULFILL YOUR POTENTIAL
- Formulate and execute on investments and asset management to maximise performance
- Learn the methodology and mechanics of real estate credit valuation models and apply these models to existing deals and potential investments
- Assist the Senior Credit team with day-to-day management of the clients’ loan portfolios, and assist in the preparation of new transactions and credit proposals including asset, financial and market analysis
- Assist the Asset Management team with managing the portfolio, including e.g. loan monitoring, rating assessments and waiver and amendment requests
- Review, analyse and process various asset reports from third parties, accounting files, Capex projections and monthly rent rolls
- Complete internal Asset Management and external investor reporting, collating the necessary data to populate internal reports / presentations and investor templates / ad hoc reports
- Track relevant Real Estate market research and industry transactions / trends
- Work closely with internal stakeholders such as Operations, ESG, Development & Construction, Finance, Compliance, Tax and Legal. Provide these teams with deal level data as required
SKILLS & EXPERIENCE WE’RE LOOKING FOR
- Multilingual with fluency in English and preferably in German, French and/or Spanish
- Strong academic background in economics, business, law or math degree preferred
- -Up to 3 years’ experience in investment management or relevant role with financial analysis component
- Motivated self-starter with a strong work ethic
- Demonstrated affinity for Real Estate sector with a strong interest in investment management
- Solid analytical/logical mind-set and attention to detail
- Strong communication skills (clear, concise, and confident) with the ability to manage internal and external relationships
- Strong MS Office skills (Excel, PowerPoint, Word)
- Able to work under tight time constraints and extended hours as required
