The Associate will join Blackstone Real Estate’s ICS Engagement team in New York. This team is responsible for the communication strategy and involved in a collaborative effort to promote the capital raising and client service efforts of Blackstone’s institutional Real Estate funds. The Associate will focus on messaging for Blackstone Real Estate’s investment strategy and strategic deliverables, spearheading multiple projects at one time and employing a range of skillsets. The Associate will spend significant time with members of the firm’s real estate group across the US, Europe and Asia, including the acquisitions, asset management, legal/compliance, and finance teams. The main areas of responsibility for the role include:
- Marketing materials and investor communications: work collaboratively with business leaders and various teams within Blackstone Real Estate to create and maintain presentation materials, investor reporting, and other investor communications (e.g., webinars, video content, other investor memoranda)
- Support fundraising team and senior leadership: assist with the production of talking points, ad hoc presentations, and strategic projects
- Produce monthly and ad-hoc talking points and materials for internal audiences in response to portfolio updates/positioning, press, market/economic news, etc.
- Draft remarks for senior leaders for conferences, events and other public speaking engagements
- Serve as a highly detail-focused content creator with ability to source information, and draft for style, substance and grammar
- Assist with LP engagement planning and tracking
- Team player: contribute to collegial work environment
- This professional will have active involvement with the senior leaders of one of the largest real estate managers in the world and will support a highly productive and innovative fundraising team.
Qualifications:
Blackstone seeks to hire individuals who are highly motivated, have sound judgment, and have demonstrated excellence in prior endeavors. In addition to strong analytical and time management skills, the successful candidate must have:
- 3+ years of professional experience
- Prior work experience in investment banking and/or real estate private equity is preferred
- Ability to produce creative, compelling, detailed materials and information for existing and prospective investors; strong proficiency in PowerPoint, Word and Excel
- Agility with data and research
- Ability to multi-task and execute a wide range of assignments
- Demonstrated ability to write effectively
- Excellent attention to detail
- Strong communication skills
- Candidate should be able to quickly pivot between a variety of projects and be a team-oriented individual who thrives in a dynamic environment
- Strong work ethic, an entrepreneurial spirit, and a desire to learn
- Operate with the highest degree of professional integrity, motivation, and intellectual curiosity
