Programs and Impact Manager – Housing Trust Silicon Valley Full Time

Another Source’s client, Housing Trust Silicon Valley, is recruiting a Programs and Impact manager to join their team in their San Jose office, or future satellite office in East Bay. This role works a hybrid schedule, on-site 3 days and remote 2 days for first 90 days, and on-site 2 days and remote 3 days after 90 days.

Salary: The annual salary range for this position is $90,000 to $125,000.

ABOUT THE ROLE:

The Program and Impact Manager works closely with the Chief Program and Impact Officer (CPIO) and other key stakeholders to advance the organization’s strategic goals.

This role is responsible for developing and deploying programs, as well as creating and maintaining an organization-wide impact measurement and management framework. A broad understanding of the Community Development Finance Institution (CDFI) sector is essential, as the role involves managing grant programs, leading diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI) initiatives, supporting impact measurement efforts, and overseeing Salesforce data initiatives

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Programs Development and Management:

• Develop and maintain proficient knowledge of the industry and Housing Trust’s programs and history.
• Develop, deploy and manage new and expanded programs responsive to community needs and aligned with the organizational mission, including the BIPOC Capacity Building grants, and other initiatives as developed.
• Ensure initiatives are effectively implemented and aligned with organizational DEI goals.
• Provide guidance to Housing Trust’s development team for project-specific grant requests.
• Assist the CPIO in preparing memos, white papers, agendas, and other documentation for the Lending Innovation & Policy Committee.
• Identify and secure subject matter guest speakers for team development sessions and committee meetings.
• Foster a collaborative and high performing environment.

Impact Measurement and Management:

• Guided by CPIO, develop a set of standard impact measurements for each of Housing Trust’s program and lending areas that demonstrate outputs and outcomes.
• Research best impact measurement and management practices and develop Housing Trust’s framework.
• Lead initiatives for cleaning impact data within Salesforce, ensuring data integrity and accuracy to support informed decision-making across the organization.
• Develop and manage data collection flow both into Salesforce from multiple teams and sources and out of Salesforce for staff for reporting, communications and presentations.  Understand reporting available from loan servicing and drive decision making for best data location and reporting including possibly BI solutions.
• Manage impact-focused executive dashboards to provide real-time insights into key metrics and organizational performance.
• Coordinate white papers, academic studies and similar think pieces replated to the outcomes of Housing Trust’s work and/or potential affordable housing finance related innovations, this includes defining project scopes, designing studies or surveys and managing a team of internal and external participants.
• Lead internal and collaborative working groups focused on data management and Salesforce, fostering innovation and continuous improvement.
• Lead team through impact tracking and goals.
• Collaborate closely with Communications to uplift the impact of Housing Trust’s work.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in business administration, Economics, Finance, Public Administration, Urban Planning or a related field (master’s degree preferred).
• 5+ years of experience in one of the following: program development, grant management, budgeting, or nonprofit management, preferably within the affordable housing or CDFI sector.
• Affordable housing experience preferred, particularly financing or lending.
• Strong knowledge of DEI principles and experience managing DEI initiatives.
• Expert proficiency in Salesforce and experience with data management and reporting.
• Strong analytical skills with demonstrated ability to analyze and work with data and effectively accumulate and present data and narratives (written and verbal).
• Strong time management and organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks while exhibiting initiative, problem solving skills, strong attention to detail and a high level of accuracy.
• Ability to articulate and integrate Housing Trust’s mission and values into everyday work.
